Glow plug thermostat?

It hasn't been below 40 degrees since I bought my B7800 last spring.

I have never seen the glow plug indicator light all summer. Is there a thermostat in the glow plug heaters
with a minimum temp before they turn on, or should I be looking at other electrical things, including a bad light bulb?

Mine lights the dash indicator and I can hear the relay, every time I start it. The warmer the engine is, the shorter the on cycle is. Even at 95 deg, it will come on for a brief time. Do you hear the relay click at all?

I'm not sure about the 7800 but like dstig1 my light comes on every time I go to start it.

Dave, thanks. No, I don't hear the relay click, so I guess I'll check fuses (if I can find them- LOL) and find a shop manual or search more online.

I am sure the 7800 is the same as all the B's. The glow plugs are activated when you turn the key past 'on' but not to 'start'. The dash light will stay on as long as you hold the key in that position.
