Glow Plugs/Starting

My tractor starts fine with out turning the key to the left (Heating up the glow plugs ) Correct me if I am wrong, Is this OK or should I heat the glow plugs up a few seconds before starting ?

No, if it starts O.K. why glow plug it? My BX, when brand new, didn't need glow plugs, now it seems like it needs about 5 seconds. It also depends on the outside temp.

Nothing wrong. Glow plugs are more important for us northerners in winter.

Mine does the same. If it hazitates then use them..Mostly winter use here.

Most engines will start down to 40 Deg F without aid. Less than 40 and you will need to use the plugs. The colder the more plug time you will need.

Only problem is it will make the glowplugs last longer.

Mine starts fine above about 40 degrees without preheating, but if I'm not mistaken my glow plugs are energized when the switch is in the start position, at least the glow indicator comes on while cranking. If I turn to the left the timer kicks the relay on for approx 15 - 20 seconds on mine and then of course the glow indicator goes out when the timer kicks the relay off but then comes back on while cranking. One of these days when I'm not doing much I'll stick my test light on the plugs and watch while cranking to see if this is what is really happening.
