Glow Plugs stay on longer than 3 secs

Hi, i want to know that can i get glow plugs that stay on longer than 3 seconds? currently its staying only 3 sec in my 2015 tractor. What are the posible chances that can stay on with my existing glow plugs, & why its getting off quckly.

I am not sure of the system Mahindra uses to "time" the GP's, but my older Ford truck (IH engine) will short-cycle as you describe if one GP is open/bad. I suggest you test each plug with a Ohm meter-they should read near zero resistance.

Yep

When i replaced my glow plugs last fall they came as a kit. Three glow plugs and a new relay/timer. They stay on for 10-15 seconds.

If your tractor has always had the light on for about 3 seconds, you will need to install the update kit, which consists of a new timer, glow plugs and short jumper harness. If you have your serial number, and give me a call or e-mail, would be happy to help you out i have the kit on the shelf.

Just unplug the wire fron the GP temp sensor on the back of the top coolant outlet. Full 10 sec every time.

Mine has always been about 7 secs since new. Light stays on longer, but you can hear the click of the relay at 7 secs. I just hit it twice normally, 4 times if it is really cold like this winter. No problems.
