Massey Ferguson Owning/Operating
Don't know your model, so here's a general answer:
Diesels will use either Glow Plugs, or Intake Heaters, and possibly both on a given engine.
Glow plugs (the back end) usually look something like mini-spark plugs, installed near where the fuel injector line goes into the head. Wiring to them typically looks like a regular 12v automotive wire (as opposed to spark plug wires). One per cylinder.
Intake heaters sometimes have a heavy metal stud sticking out of the intake, with pretty heavy 12v wiring hooked up to it. Depending on design, it may be connected with a hefty connector instead, with the same heavy 12v wire connections.
If you don't have the Operator's Manual, try the MF site, they should have one available there. The factory manual should clearly indicate what type of cold-start system you have, and how to properly use it.
