I built a 16' gate out of treated 2x4 about 4-5 years ago. Use those "L" brackets and glued everything with construction glue...loctite I think. Anyhow...the gate is as strong as every. I built a wheel for it....but if I had the hinges that would support the weight...I don't think the gate would have a problem. Very stout!!
