Might be my computer - or maybe even the Safari browser.
Are you using any type of adv. blocker?

No extensions, just a pretty vanilla firefox (on Linux). If you're having some exotic bad ads, I would suspect your mobile phone (if you're using it there), or perhaps something Windows (or Mac in your case, re: safari) specific.

The ads I've seen are tastefully placed in the margins and such. It's really a huge improvement, TBN was hugely awful in my browser in the past, mostly for half-but-never-finished-loading ads and such, with infinite little "progress" circles and overlays. All gone now.

It's been my experience that some of the ads come if you are not logged in. And in one of your pics it looked like you weren't logged in. Log in and see if it looks better.
Good catch Bullwinkle. For logged in, see the screenshot below. I think you are right, and it does look better logged in. I'm guessing that the previous picture I posted is what most casual browsers see when they discover TBN - so they probably go elsewhere.
Many long time TBN members probably see something like the screen shot below after they log in.

I wonder how many TBNers are even aware of this Feedback forum?

I admit to being old-fashioned enough to think that the amount of advertising - although reduced here - is still excessive.
And I wonder if it will make TBN's readership numbers go down?

Well, to be fair, they have to make money somehow, as the network traffic and data storage, at a minimum, use a fair bit of computing resources (storing all those pictures, for example).

Here in 2021 it's time for everybody to get used to the notion that if you're getting anything free, it means YOU are the product.

For my part, I've slowly begun to wean myself from Google, but it will be a years' long process since I've been using gmail for something like 16 years. I now pay "cash money" , as they say, for protonmail. What google knows about me is just waaaay to much. When I get up, when I go to bed, every product I've ordered from every online site, every credit card bill receipt, you name it. Don't even get me started with the pictures I post, google groups I view, and so on.

Time to open people's eyes. These people who offer us "free" stuff know way too much.

Meanwhile, TBN and their affiliates know how I've spent a lot of money in the last year and the range of orange appliances I've purchased with it.

Btw, my screen looks a bit better, I'm guessing I use a wider screen than you do (though it's only a 15" laptop).

From a user experience standpoint, I like the amount of information they've crammed into the new UI, but if it looked like rScotty's it would drive me nuts (images clipping data).

I also miss more than 20 replies per page.

I also see the profile snippets on the left no longer include my equipment summary.
