Last I heard, DPS informed him that discrimination based on religion was illegal and his license would be pulled if he actually denied teaching the class based on the person being muslim. There was nothing illegal about refusing to teach select voters however. He pulled the ad from the air, but left it on his website and claims he does not recognize Islam as a valid religion, but rather he sees it as a political belief system. He feels bullied into accepting adherents into the CHL classes based on the state sponsorship of the license, but since the licenses is not required for his other firearm classes he does not feel they can pull his CHL Instructor license if he refuses to accept "anyone he feels are a threat to the safety of the class" for those courses.
I guess he is still in business. It has been real quiet regarding him since last November.
