God wants to use my tractor.

Well even God wants to use my new tractor. If you are a regular reader of TractorByNet, you may have seen my post in the past about wanting a Kubota BX 23. Well it seams the Sunday after I made my decision to get the little BX 23, God ask me to do so some work around his house. As I arrived at church, one of our Deacons and another friend of mine, were walking out towards the street in front of the Church, where they stopped at a large sink hole. They were discussing what could be the problem, either its where a old stump had rotted out, or a culvert had collapsed. They were trying to figure out how they were going to fix the hole, well, of course I just had to work it in to the conversation that I had just bought the perfect tool to fix the problem. Its nice to have such a good indication that buying the tractor was the right decision. Note, I do know to call before you dig.

Sounds great. May I suggest that you put a toothbar on that loader if you plan to do any digging. I do not believe you would regret following this suggestion.

CONGRATS ON THE 23,I GOT ONE TOO! I too am never afraid to share my good fortune with those who need it.At one time i had too ask friends to help spread my gravel,dig out a rock,now its my turn.An old saying is what comes around goes around.Its a great feeling,helping someone out,and even better when your on your BOTA seat.

All my neighbors have got blessings from my little tractor. I'm sure they will be returned many times.

True- my neighbor is one of the finest guys I know. He feels beholden to me because my 790 can do things his little 1930-whatever 8n can't do. I've tried to explain to him that it is relaxing, and enjoyable to use my tractor to help him. If I were doing something for him and using a pick and shovel, it would be slightly different... I've been able to refuse any payment or offers for payback in some way, but I fear he might get teed off soon...
I'd be using the tractor if I wasn't helping him anyway- or at least dreaming up something to use it on... it's just as good that I can do something fun to help a buddy out.


He also thinks I'm nuts when I tell him I'd like to have his old tractor if he ever sells it. He just can't understand why I'd like an old beater like his when I have that new Deere... it's all about old tools, history, and doing things the old way. I like the new- but the old has it's place.

Thanks guys for the kind words. I just talked to the Dealer, and the first of two, BX 23's has arrived, seams that I sold him another one, when I posted the deal I got here on TBN. Well since I won't get off for another few weeks or more, told them to go ahead, and deleiver the first one the the second guy.

I can't wait to get home, and start on this project at Church. I will have Dottie come out and mark the underground utilities, etc., and I will also call the city water dept, as my Farther used to work there, and if he were still alive, he knows where all the water and sewer lines are. This will let them know whats going on. They may even come out and watch.
