Buying Advice Going to check out a used 2015, any tips???

Hi Guys,

1st time tractor buyer, so be patient. I'd like new with a warranty but, can't afford it.

I'm going to check out a 06 or 07 2015 this weekend. It's got a FEL. The hours are fairly low.

I've read Mahindra had some problems with main bearings, is there anyplace I could find a list of the affected serial numbers?

Are there any particular areas I need to check? I've read the FEL loader attachment bolts need to be checked.

I know some of you have operated your machines for many hours and I'd appreciate your advice!

I have been a Mahindra dealer for going on 9 years and haven't needed to replace a main bearing yet. I hadn't heard of any specific main bearing problems and if there were some out there I highly doubt it was on a 2015 model. Good luck!

I have been a Mahindra dealer for 7yrs and never had any issues with the internal components of their Mitis engines.

I would tell you to look at the loader mounting bolts to make sure they are not loose or even broke off. They are the bolts that mount the loader bearing box to the frame on the lower part of the engine.

I have a 2015 4WD that is now going on four years old and has about 300 hours on it. Since after the first week when my FEL had a slight leak, I think I've found one other loose bolt/fitting.

I have the FEL and backhoe. Virtually no problems with anything.

I have lost a couple of the rubber stoppers in the fill-hole on the front transaxle. I finally put one in that is wired in place.

Other than that, that is about the extent of problems I've had with mine.

They are pretty tough and reliable little tractors.

I have a 2015 with HST and FEL, had it for about 4-5 years. It's a great tractor, wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. It's a little beast...

I have a 2015HST going on 3 years now and have had absolutely no problems with it. I store mine inside not out, which may or may not make a difference. Other than routine stuff (100hr service) for example), greasing the fittings every now and then and running clean diesel, it's been a pretty amazing tractor for me. It's hauled countless cords of wood now, lifted up some pretty heavy logs into the splitter, plowed my driveway, mows a large field owned by an elderly woman near me, and did all of the digging for my steel framed 2 car garage.
