Where do I begin.....
How much are they selling for nowdays? One just popped up on the radar. It's all there, about 95% original. Tires are trash. Couple small dents in one fender. Needs a battery, Runs like a, well, a Jubilee. Nothing fancy. But something to work with. Owner mentioned a price that he would "like to get". I got a price I'd like to buy it for. We aren't far off. I REALLY need something else to work on. (That's called sarcasm) I've searched the usual sites for internet "asking price", but would like to know from a buyer or seller, just what the REAL price is on them. TIA

My limited research shows that most Jubilees are in the $2,500 to $4,000 range with the majority between $3,000 and $3,500. Sadly, I couldn't see photos of the tractors for sale.

I hope that you and the seller can come to terms that both can live with because I'd love to see you work your magic on a Jubilee! I used to have a nice, refurbished 860 Ford at my disposal, so you are getting close to the heart with a Jubilee! The Jubilee and the 860 are close cousins and fine-running machines.

Keep us posted on developments.

Ford eh?

I agree with the 2000-4000$ number. Low end for a beater than runs ok.. higher end for a good working refurb or older restoration that still has some wax on it and new tires.. and a handfull of reciepts showing lots of work was done on her..

0-100$ for a rusted out hulk.
100-500$ for a burned unit
500-750$ for a semi skeleton-ized parter
750-1000$ for a complete parts/ran when parked, loose tractor that has some straight tin and a good tire or two.
1000-1200$ ( ran when parked.. good tires and paint )
1200-1500$ can make run crappy.. looks crappy
1500-2000$ runs ok, has minor issue, looks crappy.
2000-4000$ runs ok ( or better ) looks ok ( or better )

This pretty much covers everything from all gas 1939 9n to the 4cyl 2000/4000.. The 3 cyl jobs and AN fuel models command a higher price range, as well as the diesels, and units with any rare options..( live pto / power steering)... pre or post aux trannies ( 200$ or so premium depending on unit ) or loaders ( 50-500$ depending on unit ).. implements... 25-50% of new price if in good working order.. perhaps 75-90% if really brand new or used once and in otherwise returnable condition..

rattle can paint jobs, painted wires and belts, and birds nest wireing all detract from price. Crappy 12v conversions that don't work, or have ill fitting brackets detract from price. Good 12v conversions ( while not -desireable- from a collector standpoint ) do not detract from price.. may add 50$ premium for a worker tractor.

Rubber is awfull expensive.. 4-19 and 5/6-16 tires are 40-65$.. tubes are 10-20$.. 11.2-28 and 12.4-28 tires are 250-380$.. tubes are 20$. Exotic sand and turf tires like 13/14/16 x 24 tires bring 400-600$ and 25-30$ for tubes.

Front 3-19 rims are 90$.. front 5/6x16 rims are 50-75$... rear 6 loop 28" rims are about 100$ with no centers... 24" rims can be 3x that.. and 24" 'petal' centers are just plain hard to track down.. price according to buyers need and sellers greed.

Lastly... price is usually regional.. with some tractors models commanding more or less due to local quantity available.. or percieved collectability.

Hope that helps some.

I bought 2 of them maybe 3 years ago.
I live in IL, went up and over to MI to pick one up.
It is in idea condition, it has been repainted which was done poorly.
The nice thing about this one is the metal is 98% perfect!
Being a auto painter I can say that truthfully ;)
Over all it's in really nice shape.
I added turff tires to the rear, had to make my own rims total cost $1000.
I give $4000 for the tractor. I have a 47hp that does most of the work around here,
The Jubilee gets it's fair share of work also, once I get this place under control
the Jubilee will be dismantled and done to 110% perfection!
The other Jubilee was bought in GA $2500 and in fair-poor shape.
I finaily broke down and give it to my dad, he has got it in good shape along with
new paint, I might add he's very proud of it.
Sorry for the long winded post but these old Jubilees got a hold on me...
I might add I've been a auto painter for 30 years, I'm really lookin forward
to restoring it...within the next few years.
As of now it gets to much use, when done it will be very limited use..

I'm more interested in actual SALE PRICES than general "worth". Jubes sell for $1500 to 3500 here during "summer". Winter prices tend to be a little cheaper. Auction prices are irrelevent. (People go nuts at auctions. Just to keep someone else from getting it, they'll pay double)

The Jube I've ran on to is a one owner (estate sale). It's worn but not beaten. From 50 feet away it looks like just a paint job will fix everything. Needs 4 tires, battery and a few minor repairs. Comes with a Woods 5' "Dixie Cutter". Seller wants $1800. I left him yesterday with a $1200 offer. I'd settle for $1500. It'll need another $1500 spent on it to make a $4000 tractor. Mower may bring $400.

My dad had a Jube back when I was a kid. It was the first tractor I ever drove by myself. This is one of those dreaded "NOSTALGIA purchases". Why do I see my wallet getting ripped open?

Sounds like you got the right idea, I'd say any Jubilee running in so-so shape
is gotta be a descent buy at $2000 or less.

It's mine @ $1650. I'll try to stop by and take a picture or 2 when I get a chance. It's blocked in the barn by a rather large pontoon boat currently. Boat should be moved by Jan. 1. Tractor's restoration may begin about Jan.2-------2015. It'll be 3rd in line, behind 2 that haven't had the tarp lifted off them in 10 years. That's the best part about restoring old tractors. If you take a lot of time, they just get OLDER! ;)

Great price!

I got my NAA for 2000$ in poor running condition .. (needing a rear tire, and a couple gauges, etc.and other minor repair issues... then it actually ran ok.. )
