Gone blue!

   / Gone blue! #11
My wife had an old IH424 with no brakes before we were married. Having no brakes used to drive me crazy and I begged her to let me fix it or use my TC45D. She always put me off on both accounts, telling me she was very careful with her tractor and she was afraid she would break something on my tractor if she used it.

Now that we are married, I almost forced the issue to get her to drive my hydro tractor. After I showed her the basics (including cruise) she got on the tractor one day while I was at work and now she is addicted.

Just this last weekend, she finally let me fix the brakes on her IH424 and get it ready to sell. I actually drove it for the first time, and it's a beast. Turning it is a real chore. Now I know why she suddenly loves our blue tractor and I suddenly have even more appreciation of our TC. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Jim I know you haven't been married long so let me bring you up to speed here on this sensitive matter.

What's hers, is hers, and what's yours is hers too, and as long as you know that upfront the marriage will last forever. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Mike, I checked out your pics. Looks like, what, Geauga County, maybe? I'm in Wayne County.

Everyone I ask down here seems to think all the local dealers are good. I can't seem to decide, but am leaning toward Case or Kubota because I have worked mostly with that dealer in the past. What made you decide on NH? As I've said in other posts, I have dealers for more or less every name brand or color and a few oddballs (like Fendt, kind of pea soup color and big stuff only) nearby, so the menu is huge.

I'm actually in Summit County, Northeast Ohio.

Went out and test drove a lot of tractors but it came down to being comfortable on a New Holland. I think the operators platform and control layout is one of the best that I have seen. This is purely a matter of personal preference.

Can also tell you that two years from the purchase date and and I'm still amazed at what this New Holland can accomplish. I off-loaded a 45' semi that was loaded, front to back and stacked double high with pallets and the 40D took all the work out of the job. Who needs a Towmotor? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
