Gonna get a new Kubota

Tractorshopper makes a good point about the recommendations. It's pretty common for someone to ask on here what to buy, and everyone jumps in recommending something extravagant to buy.

That being said, the price difference between the 2 or 3 tractors you are considering (if you haven't already made up your mind by now) is pretty similar, so it's not too far fetched to suggest something a bit larger/more expensive.

It seems your pretty dead set on going new, and the price difference over a long period of time at 0% interest really isn't all that great.

Of course, now I'm going to go out on a limb and make the same suggestion that Jenkins posted earlier. If you end up deciding on a backhoe, seriously consider a dedicated TLB like the Kubota L47.
Once you go look at one in person, you'll see that there really isn't much of a comparison between a dedicated TLB and a CUT with a backhoe.

Again, I'm not sure what the real price difference is, as I haven't priced the two out side by side, but it would be worth a look.

Also, consider buying used implements, you can save boat loads of cash buy purchasing used heavier duty implements over brand new lighter duty ones, and the only real difference is the shininess of the paint. (Aside from the fact that heavier ones are going to be considerably more effective).

1. The trouble with a "real" backhoe like a Case 580 is that is you want to use it for other tasks it is so danged heavy and hard on the fields. Can you even take the backhoe off and put a 3pt on like my Case 480? I'd skip straight to an excavator if I needed to do serious digging on a regular basis and stay with an Ag tractor with frame mounted backhoe for occasional/maintenance digging.

I should have been more clear (I edited my original post to clarify) that by "dedicated TLB like Jenkins suggested" I was referring to the Kubota L47 that he suggested, not a full sized "real" backhoe.

A full sized real backhoe is quite a bit too far fetched of a recommendation, even for TBN

And your correct, you can't even remove the backhoe and attach a 3 point hitch and PTO implements like you can with the Kubota TLB series.
