Nothing like having a buddy come over to shoot. Better yet, even nicer when you don't even have to bring out any of your own guns, which means no cleaning for you after the shooting is done!

All in all, a great day.

Any day spent shooting is a good day especially when you don't have to clean your guns.

Hmmm, might that be a M1 Carbine in the front of the second picture? It looks like a short rifle and has the hole in the back of the stock for the sling and oiler and a M1 mag on top of the shooting box. Kind of hard to tell from the picture. Probably one of my favorite rifles to shoot hand loaded cast lead rounds out of. Their great rifles to start novice shooters on who are recoil shy. Looks like you had a good day.

You know your guns;)

My buddy had his father and brother come down from a city area up north that is nortorious having anti gun laws (they don't get to shoot much).

Well, we planned to go out back on Friday (when I'd be home), however, the weather was pretty bad for shooting that day. Problem was, Saturday morning, my wife and I had to be in Asheville (we thought we'd be gone all day). Rain from the previous day, Friday would make getting to the back field some major work (hiking with mulitle guns and ammo) without a truck (which they don't have, and they had a time frame they had to work with that day due to other family members in the area).

So, I left the key for my truck, had my buddy come over Saturday late morning, they were able to load everything in the truck and go out back with everything they wanted to bring.

I actually got home much earlier than I intended to, took a hike out back to where they were shooting, they had everything laid out shooting away, and as mentioned, I had nothing to do but shoot (and it's been a while that I had a smorgsaburg that I didn't own). Since I let him use my truck and figured I wouldn't even be around, I didn't feel guilty about using his ammo when he offered:D
