I have been sourcing Goulds pump and Franklin motor components for my backup spare pump.

Long story short, I have a 10 Y/O goulds 10GS pump end and needed a 1.5HP two wire Franklin motor.

Best price I could find was $346 here Pond Pump Motors plus $25 shipping. Received the motor in 3 days and installed and tested on my old pump end in a 32 Gal garbage can for a few hours.

During pump testing whitish plastic bits appeared on the top of the water from the impellers I presumed.. So not wanting to drop this pump 375' into a well I went searching for a new pump end.

That lead me to Item List - Capitol Supply, Inc. for $350 for a new pump end..

At the end of the day $720 including shipping was $160 less than anywhere I could find..

So if you are looking for a motor, or a pump buying them separate is a good deal.

One last place parts and tanks is Aqua Science, the Most Trusted Name in Well & Water Treatment Systems - they have a range of pumps and tanks, pipe and stuff..

Just wanted to pass this along to anyone in a similar situation who wants to have a spare pump on hand..
