Howdy folks, I was tickled when I found this site while looking at tractor pictures. It looks like a great place to get and give info.
I'm 60 and disabled after going through my second open surgery, this time to replace the A valve. So I get stuck in the house when it gets above 80 and below 40 (fall is coming) I'm an old Mechanical Engineer, Farmer, Machinist. I've built several small garden tractors from scratch. I have this Murray I'm playing with now, Basically my outdoors wheel chair. If I can help with anything mechanical I'll sure try. I still have a small machine shop here at the house, that I sneak into whenever the wife isn't watching. Nah she air conditioned it for me, so it's better having me piddlin around out there than under her feet. Slippery.

just saw ur thread and let me say you ain't the "old" geezer you think you are.
you still have the umption to do something and not set around. keep on going and enjoy those hills up there, but don't roll down one !!!!! i live down here in rocky mount and yes i am a native "tar heel".... I have a cousin that lives in Boone. Good luck with the valve replacement.. My wife had one...
