Good friend and "family" could sure use a prayer

This story reminds me of Job in the bible. So much taken away.

What a great witness Don is to us all in that his faith has been shaken but not broken and he will come thru stronger in his walk with the Lord.

Exactly what my Father said, (my father did the funeral service)

Don and my brother are back on the road, ( my brother needs 300 more hrs of drive time to qualify for their team driving program). Don has seemed to be in great spirits and has absolutely no I'll feelings. He said at the funeral, that "Marcella was the glue that held the family strong" , He will do his duty with what time he has left.

I also would like to thank all of you, for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. I know if you ever met or had the opportunity to meet Don, you would be able to see just how down to earth that old country boys is.

Don's head is spinning right now. I pray his walk with the Lord will get stronger as he walks through this phase of his life. I pray your SIL stays close to her
Daddy. Right now he needs all the human love he can get.

I know all this happened a few years ago and nobody may be following this thread, but I had been thinking about Don the last day or two. We used to get together a lot when they lived near Paris, of course the kids were all small then. Never met a better and more God fearing family than Don and Marcella. Lost contact many years ago then saw Marcella in Paris a few years ago. Don called one day out of the blue to tell that Marcella was gone. What a shock. Again, SUPER people! I hope all is well.

The LORD watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.

So sorry for Don's loss. The wife and i will say some prayers and a rosary for him and his departed family members tonight. One thing i've learned in my time on this earth is,we never know whats going to happen next,or when. And we cannot know God's will or His plan for us. Now is the time for friends and family to give love and support to Don and his remaining family members.

James, there are few people in the world, that are and "was" as genuine as Don and Marcella, They where/are steadfast in their belief of God and helping their fellow man in anyway they can.

Update since the thread "popped up".

Don and my brother have stayed on the road in the "big rig", so haven't seen them is a spell. Don has gone on with life and is doing remarkably well as usual. His comfort comes from God and his belief that he will be reunited with Marcella when the "trumpets sound". I admire the man immensely and wish I had half of his conviction.
