Owner cannot afford to feed him anymore, as there are no more drug pushers, thieves, murderers, or molesters left in the neighborhood for him to eat. Most of them knew Jethro only by his Chinese Street name, Ho Lee Chitt.

It would take 3 meth heads to fill that big headed thing up. That reminds me of the time the Chicken farmer on the border of the landfill buffer zone got a Mastiff. THeres a valley that the property line runs down the middle of and we were scoping out some blow down trees to move. My compactor man is also a fence builder and we were looking at what to get. My old D5B was on the top of our hill. We were in te bottom and My fence man lookes up and askes what s that. I knew it was a dog and hoped it was friendly. we eased up the hill to the dozer. We finally called him up te hill and petted him. Made a buddy for life. He comes by every morning to see us now. But if we cdross the gate to their place hes totally different.

My Wife showed me the story earlier. It was on MSN on the Internet. That is definitely a very LARGE Dog. I enjoyed the name that you gave him. Thanks for posting.

thats a big beatiful dog

I agree. Beautiful dog. Our Rex, the dog on my avatar looks almost like him now. (He will be 5 years old July 5th) Though he's not as big. Still beautiful like the one you posted. He's ornery and likes to try and pull your pants down and sometimes he succeds. My sister was in his pen mowing the grass and he pulled her pants down. XD.

He likes to grab my leg in a playful way and pull me around while I'm trying to mow. I usually have his toy tug a war rope and ball on hand to stick in his mouth and play tug a war with that while I mow. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes he prefers to play tug a war with my leg.

I love him to death though and wouldn't give the guy up for the world. He's never drawn blood since he doesn't really bite down that hard. But I do sometimes have marks on my legs from the impressions of his teeth.

Heck I still got the stitch marks on my left wrist from when I got bitten by another dog when I was 4. Some reason I got in the middle of a fight with our dog and a neighbors dog. Our dog was aiming for the other dog and bit me accidentally. I managed to get away from the dogs and was screaming and running to the back door where my brother and mom met me.

Then she and a friend took me to the hospital to get stitches and a shot.

He had to be put down. His name was bear and he was a black chow. I miss him dearly. My dad had to shoot him as he was getting aggressive and was trying to attack him and my Grandma. He hated to do it but it had to be done. Rip Bear. (I forgive you and still love you)

We took in a young German shepard that turned out to be an excellent guard dog. He was almost dead from starvation when he showed up. We put up notices and got him back to health. One couple came to see if it was their dog. It wasn't, but they said if an owner didn't show up they would like him.

We kept him for a month or so. Even though he was less than a year old, it was obvious he was too dominant and aggressive for our place. We called the people who expressed interest and told them what he was like. They wanted a guard dog as they were away from their place all day (the wife drove a school bus).

When they came to get him he wouldn't let them up the sidewalk until I told him it was OK.

The lady called me about a year later to say how well he was working out and how he was such a good guard dog.

She related a funny story. They had arrranged for a plumber to do some work and told him to let them know when he was coming. The guy didn't and just showed up at their acreage. He started for the house when the dog saw him. All the guy could do was to make it into the school bus, which was sitting there from the morning run. The dog kept him in the school bus until the lady returned a couple of hours later. The dog did not bother the guy as long as he stayed on the bus, but threatened him if he tried to get off.

Sadly, a few years later the lady called again one spring. The dog had fallen through the ice on the pond and drowned. She just called to let us know and thank us again for the wonderful dog.
