Looking at getting a Lorenz snowblower for my CT450 Bobcat tractor "49hp hydrostat".
Specs on Lorenz site show the 738 to be the one for my tractor but I am looking for used ones and there are no 738 units to be had but I have my eye on a couple used 730 units which are speced for up to 40 hp max "Not sure if that is PTO or Engine rated".
I tried to mount my 60" Jinma PX160 snowblower to my tractor but the height difference is too great, the tractor pto shaft is 23" from ground and blower pto shaft is only 13" from ground causing it to put the driveline at a very severe angle plus i would need to remove the drawbar from the tractor to even get it to the ground.

Called Lorenz for specs on the 730 and 738 and have looked at a lot of pics and I think that i could get by with a 730 which has a pto height of 16" from ground and maybe add a quick hitch to add about 4 inches between tractor and blower to help driveline angle.
The 738 pto is 19-20" from ground but no used ones can be found, they said the older model the 738 replaced was a 734 model difference being a 34" high unit versus a 38"tall unit. The 738 is rated 40-100 hp tractors.

Can I get by with a 730 on my tractor being 49 hp? There would be a 9" difference in pto shaft heights sitting level on ground.

If you are in the ballpark on HP & can lift noticably more than the blower (so you can lift it when it's packed with snow) you'll be fine. You have a HST so you can just ease off the go pedal & slow down to deal with lack of HP.

No lack of HP actually opposite for the blower I am looking at. I have a 49 hp tractor and wanting top put a blower on it rated for 40 hp max, but ya i can deal with it being i have a hydro and don't need to hog snow as hard as i can lol..

The 40hp max is PTO HP not tractor

Well that would put me in the range then as the Bobcat CT 450 is rated at 38hp with a hydro trans. More curious about the pto height difference though since my Jinma wouldn't work being it is 12" difference and the 730 model Lorenz is 9" difference in height.

Fab up a set of 3pt links that put the drive line displacement at a reasonable angle.

For my thee tractors, swapping arms and top link is no more than a few clip pins.

'dis ain't rocket surgery!

Agree with CalG. As long as your implement gear box is rated for your PTO HP and can mount your new implement (whichever model) on your Cat 1, and create a shaft / driveline geometry that is reasonable you will be fine!

OK the goal here is to keep the snowblower square to the world lol and there are only two ways I see to make driveline angle better given the height difference, one is to tilt the top of the snowblower away from the tractor using the top link "Not the way its going to happen".

The second is to make the distance greater between the tractor and blower and possibly make a longer driveline for it which is what I may do by adding a quick hitch which would add about 4+- inches between the two if need be.

Found a Lorenz 730 that is used very little and looks like new with hydraulic chute rotation for 1/2 of new price I am going to jump on and will see what I can come up with from there. Just need to drive to a neighboring state to get it.

Update, check just went into the mail for the Lorenz 730 so it is going to have to work on the Bobcat lol.

Here is my new snow moving tool. Now to drive 400 miles to go pick it up next week. Got it for $3150 plus the states cut since Minnesota taxes snowblowers. Checked a few local dealers and price for new ones are 5900 for the 730 with hyd rotation.

I was going to suggest a couple of sprockets, a chain, and a jackshaft arrangement to raise the PTO shaft. Looking at the picture that would be difficult on that
