Price Check Good Price for a Tractor?

I'm trying to sell a tractor and quite frankly don't know what is a reasonable asking price. It is a 1979 Kubota L245 3 cyclinder tractor with a tillis tool and 2 scraper blades. It includes a trailer that is large enough to haul a bulldozer or the tractor. What is a fair price to ask?

Maybe a bit more info would help generate some replies. What kind of condition is the tractor in? Any known problems? How many hours are on it? 2wd or 4wd? Also, stating your location might help people in your area who are familiar with pricing in your neck of the woods... as it does vary across the country.

I have an L2201DT that is the same as your 245 (4WD). No attachments. Asking $4000. Have had lots of people stop to look and call , but no serious buyers. If yours is 2WD , I would guess the value would be around $3000. Depends on condition and hours. Maybe I'm wrong and that's why I can't sell mine. It's a lot of tractor for the money.

Thats a good looking tractor! I'd imagine yours is in better condition than most that are that old. I would think your price is about what it should be.

According to the Official Tractor Blue Book-2005 edition, p. 166, 1979-vintage L245 models have a trade-in value ranging from $1300 to $2100. These used tractors retail from $3770 to $4680.

Don't know how to price your implements and trailer.

I had a L245 with 800+ hours w/Woods RM59 mower and a 6' blade that I sold three years ago for $4,000. It was not the DT model which is 4 wheel drive so if your 245 is a DT model that will make it more attractive to a buyer and it should bring somewhere in the $4,000 range.................depending on hours and condition of course
