Good restaurants/poolhalls in Battle Creek MI?

Saturday me and a co-worker will be heading from Texas to Michigan for a fire truck conference. I'm looking for some good restaurants, poolhalls, and bars to help pass the time during our week long stay. Any suggestions?

I was just in Battle Creek for a conference but didn't get out of the hotel. We were at the McCamly Plaza which has a nice restaraunt at the top but I'm sure you could do better. I heard someone say it's owned by Kelloggs but about to be sold.

A well know restaraunt in town is Clara's. An old train station not far from McCamly.

If you're looking for poolhalls and such, I'd skip Cereal City USA. We went there several years ago and weren't impressed, even with kids along.

About the only other thing I can tell you about Battle Creek is a very nice hiking/jogging path along the creek. From downtown, it heads upstream for a good couple of miles.
