Well, I found out the hard way that the seat belt and rops on my tc24da work well. Hit 50 hours today. Got up and decided to clear the backside of four acres. Hired a bulldozer about 4 years ago to run the lines and down the middle, so I figured I would clean it up as thinking about a goat or two and will need a fence. Put my FEL back on for first time w/o a lot of trouble. A lot easier if you make sure all 4 quick connects are hooked up properly the first time. About 20 minutes so I was happy for first try. Hauled several loads of grit to the flowerbeds at my house and mothers up the street so they would have something to do while I played. Went over and cleared about 200 ft. Was basically taking fel and raising up on small trees and pushing them down then taking bucket and pushing those I could to the inside of path. Clearing about 12 feet wide. The two acres slope pretty good from where I was working so everything was downhill and entirely too easy. I pushed a couple down and was turning to push them into lot out of way when suddenly the right tires front and back slid into a grass covered washout and fel was slightly above hood and I slowly tipped over on my right side. Other than my pride everything in good shape. I had to cut the tractor off as it was still running. Had a little trouble undoing the seatbelt as it was a little tight with my weight. lol. Luckily neighbor was home and he got his ancient IH and 2 comealongs and came down and we tried to pull it out but path not wide enough to get a good angle and pull it up so we hooked two comealongs to rear and front and slowly cranked it up with them. Then I finished clearing my two acres of fence line. Neighbor asked why I had not reversed my tires. Swapping left for right and so on would make me wider and a little harder to turn over. I had asked dealer if I could do anything to make it wider as I mow backside of my dam and it is quite steep and really slow to mow up and down and a little scary to mow sideways. Thought about one of the tilt scale things but haven't ordered. Anyone else reversed your tires or came up with easy way to make your tractor wider and safer.
Have a super 4th and remember those that are serving so we can enjoy our freedom.
