To any of you guys with a good C model thinking of upgrading to a D.....

I am kind of in the market for a good C model as snow removal will be its primary duty, so the suseptibility to overheating while mowing will not be a problem, and the softer suspension of limited benifit also.

Would consider 46 or 56 hp with or w/o high flow.

While I am checking the dealers, etc. also, I would likely trust a machine from someone on this forum over an "unknown".

Anyone ? ?

Try PMing Rolando, but the cost of shipping from Florida would be interesting to say the least.

i may be putting my "c" up for sale. it has 110 hours and runs like a top. purchased new from local dealer. it is a 2006t. it is stored in a heated garage and has seen easy hours. i have 5 miles of roads to upkeep and 2 8acre pastures that are not kind on the back. otherwise i love my "c". a little nervous about the d being so new. my c has not had any issues. the only reason to switch would be for the new suspension as i plan on getting a brushcat and 90 inch mower for all of my mowing.

i ran my 72 inch tiller in 95 degree heat with the air con on high this past weekend for over 2 hours straight without any overheating.

let me know,
ts

Thanks for the responses...... not in a real rush, but wanted to start looking around. Figured that some folks may be thinking about upgrading to the D or perhaps some needing a different type of machine altogether. Ultimate location would be BC Canada, but can import and ship from States for the right machine.

I will follow up on the sugestions.

what mower do you use now? I will be testing my used B for about 8 hours of mowing this week (if it stops raining). I tested it for a couple of hours on a brushcat and had no issues. Brushcat does a nice job in all but the thickest bermudas and sandy areas can be tough on it.

Just to let you all know, I have found a Great used C from my inquirey, so I will be an official ToolCat owner/operator very soon!

I also found a very good used PowerTrac here on TBN several years ago which is still going strong at our Colorado home. The TC will do duty up in BC.

Good folks on this forum!

Thanks all (and especially Theoshin).....

Rip, Welcome to the family! Now let's see if you'll be able to get any work done? So many folks will be stopping you and asking, "What is that machine?" and "I've never seen anything like it!" that you may find it hard to get anything done... If I only had a dollar for everytime I've heard statements like that since I bought my 5600T in Nov. 05! Good Luck!

Thanks for the welcome into the "official" TC owners circle......we are well off the beaten path, pretty much in the Back-of-Beyond so to speak. Sure there will be some folks inquiring about the new machine though. May add a few more to the clan yet.

Machinery like this is quite $$$ up here in Canada (even before 13%tax).....seems like many merchants still figure the exchange to be CD $.75 to the US $ (it is over $.96 now) That is why I could only begin to justify such a luxury machine by getting a good used one from the States.
