Now you have.

In my 16 years or so of time at a NH dealership we have sold probably 8-10 of those machines of various models & configurations. One is being prepped for delivery right now, although they have been discontinued.

Looks pretty handy, what is the life expectancy and reliability on a machine like that.

At the state university where I work they run the comparable model John Deere 1400 series and the 1400's replaced had upward of 4-10,000 hours on them. More popular on a large scale grounds maintenance operation or city/park/cemetery than anywhere else. Not many private owners or landscapers that I have ever seen buy one, you are looking at a $18-25,000 machine new with a cab, diesel engine, mower deck and blower.

thats a real buy. Easily 25k of stuff.

Well, $5600 is the current bid with four days left. I'll bid $5700 on it if you pay me the difference in that and what the final bid is.;)

Typical government move/operation on this ebay sale.

Eeeehhhh who cares if we loose $thousands, possibly tens of thousands of dollars on a 6 year old piece of equipment.. we will just raise another tax to buy another. Funny how people blow other peoples money when it is not coming out of their own pocket.

I remember when my local gov't agencies ran around in bottom of the line, 4-8 year old 2 wheel drive pickups with no ac or radio. Now it's brand new Excursions and Tahoes with full leather seats every few years.

Going to get off my soapbox now before I blow a gasket.

A little over 1 hour left to go on this item and the price is up to $11,200. That's still a bargain, less than half price, but things can/will change in the last few minutes.

I had my eye on it, but when it hit $9000.00 I knew it was not for me. Looks like a handy unit, couldn't find much on the web about it. I wonder why the city had to charge sales tax in Wisconsin? One of the things I like about buying used is usually no sales tax.
