I am looking at buyin either a new ford f350 of chevy 3500 and will need a gooseneck trailer to haul. I will be hauling at the heaviest an oliver 1650 with a loader. I will be hauling hay almost everyday in the summer, would like to fit 200 to 250 bales on at once. How long of a trailer am I looking for and how much capacity do I need?

You can get 200 bales on a 25' deck stacked 5 high and 240 stacked 6 high. I ususlly put 8 stacks of 25 on my trailer. Get a trailer with a lift up beaver tail so you can have a flat deck all the way to the back. I have to level out my beaver tail with planks to get a full load on. I have 20' of deck, 5' of beaver tail and usually stick over the back a foot or so.

I have two 7K axles under mine and feel it is all I want with my 91, 3/4 ton chevy. With as much truck as you have I would go for two 10K axles and 26' or more of deck. Also get 102" wide. It is hard to get straps in the rub rail on an 8' trailer.
