Looks like this additional land is mine. I am thinking I need a toothbar and perhaps a brush hog.

It is stepped and steep in some areas. Sloped in all areas. Heavily wooded with everything from big weeds to 150 year old trees and every age of tree in between.

I'd like to clear it enough to walk around and have camp fires etc. I'd also like to cut in enough of a trail to get the bx down and around the property.

Any other implements that might be usefull?

I think that I am going to need a tick collar on my BX. Yesterdays mowing, I "caught" 2 ticks on me.. one was a brown dog tick and the other the small Lyme tick. Think that cutting the grass is going to be hazardous to my health. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

The deer ticks (lyme carriers) seem to like certain people. SWMBO is a tick-magnet. I very rarely get one on my person. The mosquitoes perfer me, however. Oh well!

rogue...congrats on the new land!

Box blade, small brush hog, landscape rake...also toothbar is good.

You clear things out with the brush hog. Use the box to rough out the trails. Drag the landscape rake to groom the trails. You will be amazed at the result.

Mabye you need to trade that BX2200 in on a BX23... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Henro, you need to trailer up and come over here to show me all these toys! I've always wondered just exactly what a box blade is good for... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

An easier alternative would be for you to junp into that jeep and drive south for a bit! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Better too...that way I get some work done here... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
