Got a game camera!

I got a new game camera for my b'day. I never even knew there was such a thing until I saw them on this forum and dropped enough hints that the wife picked up on it.

Set it up yesterday and so far I have 22 photos.

14 of me looking at it wondering if it is working,
3 of my dogs,
2 of me standing there with a budweiser wondering if it is working
and 3 of raccoons in the night eating the corn[/LIST]

I'm very excited! I re-aimed it this morning and set the resolution to high cuz my pics were grainy and I hope to get some good shots to share with the group!

When I first got mine I would go out every day and check. I'd get a picture of a deer now and again. Then I put some corn out. Went out a couple days later and there were 162 pictures. The deer here are like vacuum cleaners. They can suck up 100 lbs of corn in about three days.

If you feed them they will come

We want to see pix of raccoons with your budweiser in paws making obscene gestures to the camera

Congrats on the game camera.

I've been playing around with them for a few years now and really think they are one of those must have things for those living out in the country. We change the chip out every week on ours and it's still a big thing to see what's on it.

I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures.

So far I'm having a lot of fun. Got some good turkey shots the other day and wood ducks. Although the ducks are a bit sketchy in the pics, I'll have to try again. Can't wait to get old Mr. Bear (although I hope he stays away on the one hand).

That's a nice shot of the turkeys. What kind of camera (brand & model) did your wife buy for you and how far away from those turkeys is it mounted?

It's a Moultrie 4.0.

In this shot it is about 8 or 10 feet from the turkeys.

I am using the highest resolution setting.

The bear was back last night and he smashed a bird feeder near the cam but was too shy to make a cameo.

Got some other critters though. (And 150+ pictures of squirrels!)
