Got a NH 499!!!

Hi,
Picked up a NH 499. A few dents and dings but everything works fine. I have never used one. Looking forward to using it. Does anyone have any tips on using it? It will be used to cut alfalfa and grass.

Stock up on the special guards, knife sections and bolts found in the bar overlap area at the center. Any rock you hit will be right there and all of the more common parts you have for the rest of the bar will be useless. Check the support bearings on the cross shaft behind the cutterbar.
