I love this little BX2200!! /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif I unloaded it off the trailer and started pushing up brush piles and was tickled to death! Then I did some leveling with the BB and FEL. Then I tried out the 60" MMM and figured out that this is really a mowing machine. Avoided a few small stumps and thought I would coax them out of the ground. I removed three, but on the fourth the hydraulic hose that operates the dump and roll back started leaking fluid. It is leaking right at the end near the coupling at the bucket. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif Maybe I got overzealous, man my stomach sank!
Anyway, I know a hose is not a problem, but I have never changed one. What about air in the hose? I know to put the FEL in a "resting" position before removing the leaking hose, right? Anyway, I am all ears.
This put a damper on the newness, but it is a good tractor.

Congrats on the new workhorse!

Make sure you relieve the pressure from the hydraulic lines before you work on them. Simply shut off the machine and move the loader valve in and out of all positions. If any air gets into the lines, it is removed by actuating the boom and bucket back and forth a couple of times. You'll know the air is gone when it all works smooth again.

Have fun!

I had a similar problem after a few days with a hose too. There was a hairline crack in the coupling. My dealer drove out to my house, fixed it under warrantee, and gave me the leftover gallon of Super UDT he used to top it off. I figured I'd rather watch someone who knew what he was doing before trying it myself, but at the end of the day, there's not much to replacing a hose.

We have had some of those also, the ones that are cracking have been from the plant though. Overtightening has made the taper split. Congrats on the new Bota!! Enjoy it!

Nice choice in tractors. You bought it at the right time, too. I got mine in February and with the March weather it spent about 7 week in the garage before I had over an hour on it. Glad you like it.

Nope, did not hit anything. Got it Thursday, it leaked, got it fixed Friday and used it and as I reported lastnight developed another leak. Was at the dealer at 7:00 am this morning, simple fix. Use it today and now have a leak from somewhere in the front end. Dang it.
