Alton is about 2 hrs south of me. We get down that way to take the kids to St.louis Zoo and Six flags. So what projects are in mind for this new toy? My tractor is just over a year old. Dont know how I ever got along without it. Only problem I have is it dont take much seat time to acomplish most jobs.

I've got 120 acres with a mix of pasture with a few cows and horses on it and the rest is woods that is being cut for timber. feild is getting pretty grown up around the edges as it has not been cut in several years, so im going to see alot of seat time pulling a bushhog. i'm going to prep a area for a homesite as well on this property. We also have some feilds scattered over another 40 acre areathat I would like to continue to garden. I've also got a fixer up home i'm living in about 50 miles from my property that I'll do some landscapeing on ( of course I'm going to have to pull out the bushhog and mow my grass when the neighbors are out mowing there lawn just fer kicks] Thats the reason for me going with a compact tractor as I can tow this with my z71 like its nothing. So I guess disking, mowing, plowing and the 999 million things I'm going to use the FEL for.
I know alot of people is going to say this is way to small for what I'm doing but this land has been in my family for many decades and no one has owned anything larger. It may seem crazy but I've driven a few differant tractors and the kubotas seem to me to be alot more powerful in regards pulling power although the lift capacity is not the best I'm not moveing round hay bales
My brother in law lives in taylorville[sp?] Thats cloes by right?

I gotta go up that away to hunt sometime. Dang deer are so small here I could tie antlers on my 50# german sheppard and peolpe would think it was a monster buck!

I think you should hang onto the old MF135 and fix it up, now that you've got something to do the tractor work with. There's nothing like having a backup tractor or two in the shed. The Massey would make a good restoration project for those rainy days when you can't work the Kubota.

New engine block at 2800 hours? What was the story on that? Maybe the HST guys are right; the transmission WILL outlast the engine.

Good luck with the L3300. Looks good from the photos. If you're like me, your first Kubota won't be your last.

The mf135 was my late uncles and it has the perkins GAS 3 Cyclinder motor there was very few of these built so it is staying in the family and hopefully will be restored one day.It is in very rough shape though.

The guy said the motor had a "knock" to it for unknown reason and that it was a better deal for him to buy the complete long block as he needed it back to work asap.
