Got my hands on an animal

At least compared to my old 141. Picked up a 346XP tuesday and got to make a few cuts with it in seasoned Ash. It is like night and day compared with my other saw. Made a couple of cuts in a downed green Oak and the thing just falls through the wood. I'm thinking, money well spent.

That's the best 50cc saw out there right now. My buddy has one and as much as I love my 026, that thing is the cat's meow....

Congrats, you'll enjoy it. There's a huge difference in running a pro saw and a homeowner saw (even Stihl & Husqvarna homeowner saws). Lighter, more power, and less vibes. People just don't realize what that extra money buys them until they try it for themselves.

Cut up two large chunks of the Oak and still impressed, the dealer said run a couple of tanks of gas through it and bring it back and he will retune it and put a tach on it to make sure it's right, anxious to see if he makes it meaner, it goes after the wood like it's MAD.

2 words muffler mod. When done correct helps them run cooler{longer engine life}and will increase power.

Also check out the forestry forum, lots of info there. I've done it to every newer saw I've owned and highly recommend it. It does make the saw some what louder but the benifits out way the noise.

Something about a good running saw, fer sure!!

I've used a 365 Special (IMO the absolute BEST all-around saw, ever!!), 372XP and 385XP quite a bit, simply phenomenal..

For the most part I'm a Stihl guy (MS 260 Pro and MS 261) but I agree it is probably the hottest 50 cc saw going, nice choice!
