Congratulations Matt,

Ask your dealer if he can get some aftermarket weights for you. My dealer sold aftermarket rear weights, but I did not inquire about front weights. A loader makes a nice set of front weights. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Matt,
Congratulations on your new purchase. Just remember ... people will wonder what you are up to with that S**T eating grin on your face all the time....try to contain yourself if you can.
Best of luck with the tractor and remember *SAFETY FIRST *

My B1700 is about the same size as your 7500, and I find it handles much better on slopes WITHOUT the front loader on, even with a heavy (440 pound) rear mower. I do not know if a set of front "suitcase" weights would be as upsetting to the stability as is the heavier, higher, longer loader, but from my limited experience i do not find the need for front weights with my tractor on my land.I assume you always, always have your seat belt on, and especially when learning take everything real real slow. Another rule I follow, maybe the most important next to the seatbelt, is to never do anything even slightly hairy unless my wife is home, and she checks on me (at least a glance out the window to see that I am still OK) every 10 minutes. Sort of a bult in buddy system.

PaulB,

My NH TC18 is also similar sized to yours. With my 60" rear finish mower I must use two suitcase weights on the front (190 lbs. total) or be very light in the front end. My Woods RD6000 mower weighs in at about 600 lbs. so it's heavier than your rotary. I don't have a front end loader either. I'm planning on buying my 4' rotary this week, looking forward to having it. /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif

Yeah Jim, at almost 200 pounds heavier than my rotary mower I think my 1700 might need front weight also if i had a mower like yours. It seems to be , as I said, actually more stable on side slopes without the loader than with it. I think this is because tha loader is so high and long relative to the center of gravity of the machine. If I did need front weight I think the suitcase weights would be the way to go.

Thanks....do love the new tractor....an oh yeah with a ROPS always have the seatbelt on!!! grew up on old fords and Allis Chalmers ( the old orange ones ) and got it beat in my head to jump wide if the thing got away from ya ( if you ever brush hogged in the Ozarks you know the ready to jump operator position)
