Had to use everything it had to get it out. In the end I had to use both 4 wehel drive with rear differentials locked and the loader to get out. Took three hours to clean everything and I'm still finding mud here and there. Those turf tires kinda suck in mud but thats to be expected.

It is amazing how the mud can get packed in so tightly. Once got badly stuck on a tractor with duals. It took hours to get the mud out. Had to use the hooked end of a crowbar between the tires and chip away at the mud. It seems the worse you are stuck and the more you try to move, the more packed the mud. If you get stuck and have someone pull you out right away, the mud comes off much easier. The FEL has saved me many times and you can push yourself out.

The best tractor I have owned for mud was a JD 5300 with FEL. Front and rear tires were relatively big for the size/weight. MFWD, and good clearance. That FEL did not have the linkage on the bucket like most CUTs. It could really push the tractor when curling with bucket. My CUTs do not push near as hard. The extra linkage on a CUT bucket is suppose to help with curling power. However, when the bucket is fully tipped down, there is little mechanical power and the curl cylinder is nearly parallel to the lift arms. This is when you need the most push when the bucket is completely tipped down.

i'm sure someone will tell you how unsafe this is but it works, an old farmer out here showed me this trick and I have used it a couple of time on a 2wd tractor. when you get suck take a 4x4 post 8' long but it up to the rear tires on the ground so that it is centered on the two tires, then chain or strap to the tire. put your tractor in reverse (low gear) and back up till the 4x4 is under the wheel, it should lift the tractor out of the hole, you will have to unstrap the 4x4 before you can continue as it will hit the under carriage, also don't try going forward. for one it is easier to back out (not dragging you implement deeper in to the mud, also it is very dangerous as the 4x4 could come up and over the back hitting you in the head:eek:(if you don't have any attachments on)
