I purchased the lightly used BX2763A plow today that was on the Hartford Craig's List for $1200. The ad was circulating around here earlier this week. The seller had no instructions, so I was hoping I could get a few questions answered.
1) The plow and sub-frame came off a BX23. I assumed that it would also fit a BX24 too? (if it doesn't, I'm in "vedy, vedy deep s...")
2) Does the silver Kubota brush guard have to be removed in order to mount the sub-frame?
3) There are 2 horizontal sleeves welded (by Kubota) to either side of the sub-frame. There must be a piece of hardware goes in the sleeve, that permit the sub-frame to hang from the front of the tractor's frame until the mounting rods can be passed thru the frame holes and securely lock it in place. As it is now, there are 2 long non-standard bolts with nuts and washers in those sleeves which allow the sub-frame to hang precariously from the front of the tractor's frame until the rods secure it. What missing pieces am I looking for?
On a side note, the plow blade fit perfectly in the back of my Tahoe, and we used the tractor's loader to place it in and to get it out. By using a 1500lb racheting nylon freight strap between the bucket and the far end of the blade, sort of cantilever fashion, we were able to lift it off of the ground and ease it gently in and out the Tahoe. Thanks for any help you can offer.
