Gotta love neighbors like these...

When my wife changed jobs we recently moved from beautiful NJ to soon-to-be-frigid MA (why couldn't she have found someplace sunny and warm?). Although I've downsized my property a bit the 2520 still came along and has already proved useful using the backhoe to remove a few stumps. Living on a private drive and already welcoming ourselves to the neighborhood with morning hammering as they redid the roof I was a little leery about using the tractor and disturbing people, but when I was caught by a neighbor using a wheel barrow to take my trash can down to the curb I was scolded for not using the tractor to do so. Last night I piled the trash and recycling onto a pallet and brought it down on the forks with the backhoe as ballast - not a common sight in suburban MA I'm sure but I'm the envy of the neighbors because I have the baddest "lawn mower" on the block!

See, there are good people out there.

Great to see you migrated to the neighbourhood and you are accepted.
Very expensive wheel barrow you got there. I keep telling my wife we have the worlds most expensive wheel barrow - it moves a lot of manure weekly - about 18 tons a year.

Eventually we will find other uses for the tractor.

Move any further north and you may end up in Canada - colder yet!!!!

4 of the neighbors surrounding me have either JD garden or lawn tractors and another one has a Troy Built lawn tractor .
I'm the odd man out with 3 Kubota BX tractors.

I live in eastern Ma and I have at least 10 neighbors with tractors, Welcome to Ma. It is about to get real pretty hear over the next few weeks. What part of Ma are you in, there is a lot of members from this area. By the way we have the exact same weather as NJ so I don't think you will be in for to much of a shock

I'm not too far away in North Framingham, pretty much the same distance as you to Boston but west instead of south. We'll have to see about the weather, I've got a few co-workers in the area (office in Acton) and based on the last few years it's been pretty consistently colder and snowier up here (much more snow but not much colder). You're also closer to the shore so that may moderate things for you as it did for me in NJ.

your still inside the 495 belt but still the storms run along the highway. You are close though. I send trucks in that way a lot over to TJX. Last winter there wasn't much snow so we are do. My company runs out of Hoboken and our main warehouse is in Langhorn Pa

Welcome to MA. I used to be in North Framingham too. In Littleton now, close to the Acton line. One neighbor has a Ford 8n and a JD lawn mower. The others use a service or have riding mowers. My BH and FEL on the BX24 standout from the crowd but have come in handy.

Grew up in CT which, I guess, is the halfway between the winter up here and the winter in NJ. First winter in Framingham ended with 30" of snow on April Fool's day. Bad week for my back as I didn't have a tractor back then.

Mild winters since then but this one seems likely to be a little snowier and colder.
