well front hydraulic blowers need a lot of GPM.... manual says total GPM for TC45DA is around 14.5... but it devides into 9.8 for hydraulics and 4.7 or so for power steering.... now when looking at a snowblower can I shop 10-14 gpm kind or do I really need to stay below 10 :(

I would use a front pto if you can get one to fit, if not get a rear blower. As for the gpm available for implements and fel, that is all driven by the 9.8 gpm circuit on your tractor. None of the power steering circuit flow is available for the implements as it is isolated on the pump output.

Stay below 10 gpm. The 9.8 further divides into 0.8 gpm for the PTO and leaves 9 gpm for your remaining hydraulics. I'd say you'll do good to get 8.5 gpm and that will only be with 1/2" hoses and the engine rpm at 2500. If possible, get the dealer to let you try one before you buy it.

I'm thinking PTO pump and a reservoir on the rear

Just for general info, New Holland has a 72CSH snowblower that mounts on the front and is driven by the mid-pto through a reduction gearbox. They are expensive, but probably not anymore than a hydraulic motor type. The hydraulic motor might be able to reverse to eject debris. That's the only advantage I see. The New Holland has a hydraulic chute rotator option. Tractorhouse currently has one listed new, in the crate.
