Grade 3 Shear Bolts?

I'm looking for a source of 3 1/4" x 3/8" grade 3 bolts - they're the ones speced for my PHD. I can find grades 2, 5 and 8 everywhere, but no grade 3!

I know grade 2 would be safe, but I'd like to find a source for grade 3 bolts.

I don't think I've ever heard of grade 3. I'd just use grade 2 from the local Ace HW.

I used to be a purchasing agent for an industrial wholesaler and have never heard of grade 3 either.

They exist - 2 hash marks on the top instead of none (grades 0, 1, 2) or 3 (grade 5). That's exactly how the existing bolts are marked.

I've found places that will make custom grade 3 bolts, but the expense of a custom bolt far outweighs the annoyance of a little extra potential breakage.

I know they exist, but have never actually seen one. Even Fastenal and Hudson don't carry them. So the solution - to me anyway - seems obvious; get them from the PHD manufacturer.

Why the aversion to just using grade 2? I understand it calls for grade 3, but…..

No aversion. Just hoping there's some fellow scavenger out there who knows some guy in a little corner of the world who just happens to be sitting on a sack of them...

I'm sure not gonna pay a premium for them when grade 2 is so plentiful.

That's sort of what I was getting at. Being so hard to find wouldn't make me optimistic that they'd be reasonably priced.
