Buying Advice Grand L 60 series Loader hydraulic line protection

Potentially looking at a new Grand L 60 series and the two things that I'm not sure about are the location of the hydraulic lines on the outside of the loader frame and the fuel tank under the operator platform.





Especially the hydraulic lines. Seems like they are just waiting to get snagged on something.

Are all of the loaders like that? Is it only with certain loader options? Anyone have any issues with them hanging out there?

That hose layout appeared due to the addition of new emission controls in the 60 series that took up so much space. Not sure if it's only like that with the optional easy connect assembly or if they all are set up that way.

I don't know if emissions is the reason. If you look closely you will see that the hydraulics come through on the inside of the loader frame (like I would prefer) then elbow down and go through a tube that makes up the loader mount to the outside.

Like you say, not sure if it is for just the quick release version or maybe they can't fit 6 couplers on the inside. A lot of people are getting the 3rd function on their loaders these days.

Noticed that QC hose location when we were looking at the Grand L 60's. Son wound up buying an MX5100 with a W.R. Long 3rd function and an LA1065 loader, everything is mounted inside, protected just like the L3940. Loader will probably never come off anything here anyway. I would want some sorta shield over those connectors.

The hoses were moved to the outside to make hook up easier for those that found on the inside of the frame were hard to get to!

Fuel tanks are under many of the newer designed compact tractors just like the big farm tractors have been for about twenty years now! Rare to create an issue.

you may want to look at an M6060, a little more $$ but a lot more tractor..

When they moved the tank underneath the deck that also raised the deck, seat, ROPS and more about 4" higher. The new L60 series would not go into a couple sheds here on the farm. The L3940 barely clears the cow shed in one spot with the ROPS down by 1/4".

All my lines on my L3540, including the 3rd function are located inside the loader frame, I'll send picture if you want.
