I've put up with rodent odor in my cab last season not having time to tear into it, but getting ready for drilling small grain this year, it was time to get rid of the source. I took off the quarter turn fasteners at the rear of the headliner and sure enough, there were seed hulls. Next I checked the internet on removing the headliner or roof and found a person with a 7060 was going to remove is roof but instead removed the headliner, so that was my first try. It was wrong. But the plastic covers on the side posts gave me my answer. Left post cover had a large mouse next and the decayed passenger I've been carrying. Pulled 9 bolts from inside and either 5 or 7 from outside rear (all take 10mm hex) and the top was free. So here is the nest in the radio area. At the front right corner they had a separate storage space for their food. The purple husks are from sunflower seed the bags are labeled not fit for human consumption but the colored seed treatment doesn't deter rodents. I had 5 gallons left over that season, stored it in a plastic 5 gallon bucket all tightly covered, but the squirrels gnawed through and the next spring all I found was husks. The last picture is the post cover where the track the rodents chewed creating a path to the roof is visible. It is like Kubota created this neat path for rodents to get to the roof. So this roof is now all cleaned and heavily sprayed with disinfectant. It's got 4 bars of Irish Spring (some people swear by this trick but I have not had success - I'll try anything). There are dryer sheets and I find I can renew them through the accessory plugs in the headliner. I tossed the "Fresh Cab" sacks out replacing them we new "Grandpa Gus Rodent Repellant).
