I've put up with rodent odor in my cab last season not having time to tear into it, but getting ready for drilling small grain this year, it was time to get rid of the source. I took off the quarter turn fasteners at the rear of the headliner and sure enough, there were seed hulls. Next I checked the internet on removing the headliner or roof and found a person with a 7060 was going to remove is roof but instead removed the headliner, so that was my first try. It was wrong. But the plastic covers on the side posts gave me my answer. Left post cover had a large mouse next and the decayed passenger I've been carrying. Pulled 9 bolts from inside and either 5 or 7 from outside rear (all take 10mm hex) and the top was free. So here is the nest in the radio area. At the front right corner they had a separate storage space for their food. The purple husks are from sunflower seed the bags are labeled not fit for human consumption but the colored seed treatment doesn't deter rodents. I had 5 gallons left over that season, stored it in a plastic 5 gallon bucket all tightly covered, but the squirrels gnawed through and the next spring all I found was husks. The last picture is the post cover where the track the rodents chewed creating a path to the roof is visible. It is like Kubota created this neat path for rodents to get to the roof. So this roof is now all cleaned and heavily sprayed with disinfectant. It's got 4 bars of Irish Spring (some people swear by this trick but I have not had success - I'll try anything). There are dryer sheets and I find I can renew them through the accessory plugs in the headliner. I tossed the "Fresh Cab" sacks out replacing them we new "Grandpa Gus Rodent Repellant).

Pardon my humor... but that's a rather nice infestation. lol

What will get rid of rodents is moth balls and a tub of open Clorox.

Both of those will keep them away of kept enclosed in a cab. I recommended this to my buddy who is a grain farmer when they put their machines away for the winter. Nothing will go near it as the inside of the cab is fumigated all day everyday as long as that stuff in in it.

Never haver an issue but I do pull the roof every spring and clean the ac HX's. You need some barn cats. Never take the headliner off, always the roof bolts. The newer cab tractors, the works are under the seats and a royal PITA to get to.

I now keep anything with wires in shipping containers and other stuff like lumber, pallet forks, and ladders in my barn. The trick that I found that worked best when I kept my tractor in the barn was theses bean bag like things that were scented with peppermint oil. Mouth balls did not work for me. Also keeping the hood opened helped.

I avoid mothballs in my cab equipment due to toxicity. Several years ago, I tried starting my mini-excavator which had been sitting outside for a couple weeks and nothing. My wife and I counted 11 wires completely chewed through. Since then, both armrests (containing electronics) and the fuse block under the seat have been stuffed with mothballs. No more squirrel problems. The odor stays but its quickly overcome by the smokey diesel on my mini. The L6060 stayed in my heated garage until January 2020 when I added my SVL75-2. L6060 was relegated to the unheated machine shed and the mice quickly found a home. Now that machine shed has mouse bait stations every 10 feet along the walls and no more problems that I know of. This odor was there last year but I kept a can of air freshener in the cab until I had time to attack.

Since 2002 in the barn and no rodent issues. Just the resident cats. Cats have an issue all their own though. They like to we we on the tires and sleep on the hoods.
