I purchased the 2016 workmaster 70 and was told it had a third remote. When I hooked grapple up the buttons on the lever want work grapple. The only way I can get grapple to work is by using the green handle lever by right fender. Here are some photos to show what I have. Can someone explain what I’m missing or need to do?

Any help would be appreciated

Looks like the green lever operates the third remote.

The grapple hoses should go to the valve that the green lever is connected to.

Looks like they provided the handle with switches for the joystick. But I do not see the Solenoid valves. It does look like they just plumbed to the rear remote which is the green handle.

Nothing wrong with that but if you want to use the buttons, you will need to get the valves and wiring. It is a personal choice.

Ok thanks for answering guys. Can you kinda get a little more specific on what I need to do. Like where would I mount the valve and what would be a good system to use?

First I would look at what they provided.

I see the switches on the joystick. Is the wire for the switches there?

Next you will need a solenoid valve similar to the WR Valve I posted a link to.

It can be mounted anywhere you have room.

You will need fittings and possibly more hoses.

Once you have the valve mounted you will take a wire from your fuse panel to the switch and back to the solenoid. Then you will ground the other side of the coil.

Then you will take off the hose on your Power Beyond port on your loader valve. You then will run a new hose from the power beyond port on the loader valve to the IN port of the solenoid valve. Then you will put the hose that was on your power beyond on the Tank port of the solenoid valve.

It is fairly simple but does require some planning. Of course there is nothing wrong with using your remote.

Thanks K5wlq. That gives me something to work with.

K5wlq how would I be able to use the buttons on the FEL stick to work grapple. How would I incorporate them into the solenoid valve I need to add?

K5wlq how would I be able to use the buttons on the FEL stick to work grapple. I can’t find anything that they work.
That is what I was saying. I don't think they are wired to anything. I believe the buttons were made into the joystick for the addition of a third function valve.

It appears that your dealer chose not to use a separate valve but opted to utilize your rear remote. That really should have been a decision made by you not them. Basically they took the cheapest and easiest path to work your grapple.

You could call the dealer, assuming they are still in business, and ask them if they could add a true third function valve. They may not even know how which would be sad.

He described how to wire the new solenoid valve to your joystick switches.

Not being familiar with the tractor, I'm not sure why the joystick knob is equipped with switches but not being used. I'm also not familiar with the extra lever setup.

I spent the last few minutes searching parts diagrams to locate this lever and came up empty. A source for these parts diagrams is attached. I use them a lot to educate myself on how things are designed, plumbed, etc.

Maybe a trip to a dealership and visit with the Parts Department or if lucky, the service department looking for someone familiar with what you have.
