Wanted to know if any one is familar with this product or any similar one's. I'm looking to get something with grapple but PT's grapple bucket doesn't look ideal. Rake looks like it would work much better for what I would use it for, Cleaning up in the woods, moving brush, rocks, logs,etc.. The gentleman at AnBo quoted a price of $2095 for a 5' lighter weight model (475 lb ). They have another five footer that opens wider and weighs 610 lbs but I don't think that would leave the 1430 much driving around capacity. the loader is rated for 1200 lbs. but like others have said, it's probably somewhat less once you start driving around on terrain. anyway, just wanted to see others thoughts while I'm waiting for more info from them by snail mail. thanks. web page

besides Charlies inverted grapple which he build for me ... thanks again Charlie. we are using the pt grapple commercially in our tree removal group; and have rated this attachment to be the "Best of pt". if you buy a 600# grapple from another source you won't have much to pick-up before your rear will begin to lift. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Called PT and their 54" grapple bucket weighs 360 lbs. so I would only loose about 115 lbs. lift capacity with the lighter weight 5' rake. I think I could live with that if the rake ends up being as fersatile as I think it will be. It does cast $600 more than the grapple bucket but guy at AnBo said they would ship it free. Well, either way I guess I'll have to find more work to pay for it.
Thanks for the feedback and hope to here more from you guys who have been operating your PT a lot longer than me.

Have the PT grapple bucket for my 1430 and find it is great for rocks, brush and logs - amazing what you can pick up with just one finger of the grapple. Collecting and moving brush is a snap - the bucket teeth make a pretty good (but coarse) rake for scraping things up.
