After much deliberation I bought a Power Trac PT-1845 45hp diesel fully hydraulic articulated 4x4 (see Power Trac forum and www.power-trac.com web site) plus an AnBo 5'GRL Grapple Rake as the most agile and versitile combination I could come up with.
I already have a New Holland TC-30 CUT, but it and any others of similar style are simply not stable enough for steep rough hill sides like we have at 8000 ft in the Rockys. My application is removing dead fall and cut trees and slash for wildfire mitigation with minimal land impact.
Give this or similar combination serious consideration as you look around at various alternatives.
I have one of the worksaver grapples mounted on my Kubota M6800. Works great for all kinds of debris...have to remember to use my counterbalance on the rear with it for the heavier stuff.
