howdy all deff have a newbee question my FEL is rated at 2000 lb lift, how do I know if im there? will loader just not pick
up or will my axles snap in two lol scratchen head

You won't be able to curl first, then you won't be able to lift the load.

Your relief valve will open at its preset pressure and and you loader wont go up any further. You may hear a change in the pitch of the engine and pump. No damage will occur. The relief valve can be set to a range of opening or "relief" pressures, Yours is set to what ever the factory or dealer set it to. When you let off of the joystick the relief valve spring will reset the valve and it will be ready to go again protecting your system's pump from turning into a hand grenade.

If you try and pick up too much weight, the hydraulics will trip the pressure relief valve... You can still over load the front axle (and or left the rear tires off the ground). You'll NEED counter weight hanging off the 3 point hitch... maybe close to 1500 pounds if you can lift 2k... (just a guess).

hey thanks all for your replies , teg I was thinking 1000 lb weight would be enough but really just throwin darts
would welcome other thoughts on the weight issue

1000 pounds would be fine, do you have your tires loaded? It's the amount of weight AND how far back you can put it. A 6' mower works great but it's clumsy since it's soo far back there. I would rather have too much weight, that's very close to the 3ph. A good heavy box blade works but it's pretty wide.

my plan was to make a thin ballist box just wider than a bag of cement and a bit more room
to fill with 10 bags and ofcourse provisions for saw n shovels n rakes
