Yes, i had to mention that particular brand!
this has been an exiting week and many hours spent behind the wheel of my favored equipment and attachment.
Between mowing and fert., we are doing extensive yard, field and spring cleaning.
For years we were pulling tarps with wet, dead and stinky leaves of customers properties. NOT SO, this year. The pt 400 series grappler bucket does very well at gathering, dead wood, wet, dead and stinky leaves. We added by spot welding some 3/4 inch flat iron to the three teeth (horizontally) and that did the trick. the leaves did not fall out after we applied the pressure to close the grappler teeth.
Now comes the dreaming part, when i have an extra $1500.00 dollars, when my customers are paying the bills from last seasons landscaping work, boy are some of them slow!!!!!!!!!! i am going to buy the supper grappler device for loose, small debris, and leaves,
Ramroad's Loose Matl. Handler http://www.ramrodequip.com/products.html#attachments. Basically a regular bucket for their mini skid loader, with two gates closing the normally open area of a bucket by hydraulic control. Have spoken to two users of this device, they use it every day.
Once we have, have ramroads device we will not discard pt's grappler bucket by any means. The pt grappler on average over last years manually gathering, transporting leaves during spring cleanup replaces about three men per hour. We will then use the pt grappler to pick up larger dead wood. The ramrod loose material handler (bucket with gates or arms) we will the use to feed our large commercial leave vacuum and pick up the piles of leaves gathered all over the propertie
