Price Check Grasshopper True ZeroTurn FrontMount mowers

Anyone know where to find out what the Grasshopper True ZeroTurn FrontMount mowers sell for? Are they any good?

Not sure if you will find any online pricing, but I can tell you they are excellent machines. We have an old 614 grasshopper (about a 1992 model) and it has a couple thousand trouble free hours on it, and it was only a homeowner grade model. Also have a 725K which is a 2002-2003 model which has also been a great mower. It is a 25hp Kholer with a 60" deck, I think it was around $10K back then. They are true industrial grade machines, much higher quality/heavier built than many of the popular zero turns today. The out front deck design has become less popular (not quite as maneuverable, takes up more space on a trailer, etc), but once you drive one you'll be amazed at how smooth they ride compared to a conventional zero turn. The out front deck is also nice for getting up under trees.

You can find them online. Go to their website and find your local dealer. Call them and they will quote you prices. If your within 2hrs driving they will bring them to your property so you can try them out - atleast they did for me. I agree a well built machine. I was not impressed with the quality of the cut myself, but I think that with rough terrain the deck bounces and effects the quality of the cut. The front mount deck is nice for trimming around and under obstacles and provides a comfortable ride. For mowing up hills, I would recommend a mid mount for sure though due to weight distribution. It is very stable on slopes though.

I've got a 928D w/60" front mount deck that I bought used 3yrs. ago.Paid $5,000.00 for it.Best mower I've ever owned.What used to take 3-4hrs to cut w/my Yanmar and finish mower I can now do in an hr and a half.Plus the diesel uses less fuel than a gasser...russ
