well--after all the waxing-constantly wiping the specks of dirt-gently wipeing of the dip stick-the care and feeding of the grease fittings-cleaning the grud from the head lights. All the nights that I sat up to make sure the tires had the just the right pressure. Now--here it is - minus 6-- and my tractor won,t start---hows that for gratitude.

You missed the most important part...you have to bed it down in a nice warm manger!

Waxing, which means you washed it too,,,,well, theres your problem,,these chinese tractors were never meant to be washed, let alone waxed,,,you probably got water in the starter and it froze up,,,
after it thaws out this spring, find a nice muddy spot and run it around in it,,,throw a few hand fulls on spots that need it too,,,,than grease it,,put 10 times more grease on outside of fitting than on inside and smear it around a little,,pour at least 1 gal to much desil fuel in it and let it run down over dash and floor area,,change oil and spill about a pt. around over top of motor,,dab it up a little[smear] with oilly rag,,,get you a sheading very old snotty cat to sleep in seat,,,,throw several buckets of grass chaff around on areas and let it stick to the oil and grease,,along with several handfulls of twigs,,,,,

Than, never ever wash it again,,and never try starting it when it is colder than 20 degrees out,,may have to get a new battery too,,,by doing all this, you should never have a starting problem again,,,thingy

She's trying to tell you something bonehead. At -6 you belong in front of the
fire not out on the tractor. Whisper sweet nothings into her stack and invite
her in to sit by the fire. She'll start in ways you can't imagine....

I think she's trying to tell you she needs a warming blanket or at least a block heater. :)

Yeh me too.I used to bathe, powder, lub, comfort and kindle her,but when it's cold, she will never turnover !! OH Wait that's the WIFE!!.

She is trying to tell you two things:
- Get a Katz lower radiator hose heater. Be gentle with her when you cut her hose. She has a very sensitive spot there ;)
- Float charger for the battery: can you really start your morning without a full cup of coffee? No uh? Why would she with a drained battery then!

Good luck!

This is what you need. Your tractor will have that warm fuzzy feeling.

I have the same setup with the KATZ. Its great. Has been as low as -8 here in the last week and can still get her started after about 45 minutes of the KATZ. Now what are the second set of hydraulic hoses for? The one set go to the steering cylinder but the ones with the red and black markings near the QC's through me.

Just curious.
