There seems to be a few people on here with almost disconcerting knowledge of all things ag, so I was wondering if anyone could be so kind as to answer a question I have. I picked up a Gravely Pro 16 Series in the fall to mostly blow snow, and damn does it do that. I did have to gut the fuel system due to the length of time the thing sat, although to my utter shock (no pun intended) the battery still held a charge (?). FYI this was the fist Vanguard twin I have ever worked on, and I was able to get it running like a top even with solidified gasoline throughout just by removing the top of the carb and cleaning everything out without having to pull it since that seemed to entail the whole intake. But anyway, the seller was unsure of the year, and the model number is 987070 but the serial number begins with two zeroes which does not seem to coincide with any database I have been able to locate. My curiosity is a plastic toggle switch to the left of the center controls, separate from the metal lift toggle on the face plate which raises and lowers the blower. The switch controls current to a small harness which runs out of the grille with two female connectors. What implements did the G series run out front that required electric power? The blower is stock and all of the controls are manual. I spent many an hour as a kid wresting a two wheel Gravely brush mower which required a head gasket every few weeks but what memories this overbuilt monster brings back to me. In any event, thank you if anyone has an answer, and I wish you all good health and stay safe.
