Jeep Wrangler / gravely 5240
Well I have a gravely 5240 (8hp) with the 44" power brush I'm loving it for doing my sidewalk so much most times I do the whole blocks!

But I only think the brush is good for 1"-3" and I know heavier snow is coming So soon I'm going to pick up a plow and some other attachments for it for FREE from a friend.

Problem is my 5240 has the quick hitch for the brush and the new(old) attachments don't. I really don't want to be sitting in my gravel driveway bolting and unbolting attachments then bolting the quich hitch back on to use the brush.

Is there a way to attach a non-quick hitch attachment while keeping the quick hitch installed?

Sure is its called a retro kit, but it wont save ya from bolting and unbolting older attachments to the QH, you just dont have to remove the QH from the tractor to do it. Another thought here on the retro is it moves the attachment further out and changes the "balance" of the machine, which may or may not be desireable.

I wonder is there any way to use the quick hitch in attaching a plow?

I don't mind bolting to the housing in the summer when its 70* and I'm switching to the brush hog as it will stay on all summer, but I'll be switching from the plow to the brush alot.

I wonder does anyone know what the taper is on the quick hitch pin? I might be able to bore out a sleeve and make a quick disconnect for the plow.

They are good people.
Do a very good job .
I have used my (blade southern ) ( plow northern) with a horn on front of a rider for years for gravel and dirt, snow one time.
More if we had snow?

Ahhh, you need to do what many others have done and frankly, I am surprised that no one else mentioned this. You need a Gravely for each attachment. It's that simple! :)
