I know this probably a stupid question but, I have a couple of grease guns at the house and they have to big of end fittings to reach the zirk fitting on my loader. What do you guys use?

Although I feel it is really expensive for what it is, these are really nice: Amazon.com: LockNLube Grease Coupler locks onto Zerk fittings. Grease goes in, not on the machine. World's best-selling original locking grease coupler. Rated 1, PSI. Long-lasting rebuildable tool.: Automotive

Paired with a cordless gun, you will really feel "spoiled".

Lot of $ when a $20 standard grease gun will get the job done, but it makes the job much faster, cleaner, easier.

There is a long version also if you have any deeply recessed hard to get at fittings.

I have a fitting for any of my grease guns - its called a needle fitting. The needle end pushes the ball back on the zerk fitting - seals on the tiny zerk hole and you grease unusual size or location zerks that way.

I love that combination. It makes greasing happen more often. I need a small fitting for a few of the zerks on my grapple. I bought a 20volt dewalt through their outlet store for 199 delivered.

I got the one CMV mentioned, absolutely love it, at times before I had it I actually broke a zerk or two trying to get the **** fitting to release.

You can go down to your local auto parts store and take your current grease gun with you and they sell small couplers that will fit right in. They are cheap too at under $4. I've been greasing equipment all my life and this is the first time I couldn't get the coupler on the fitting. But I got the smaller coupler and now I'm in business.

Ah, ha - went into town two days ago and purchased DeWalt 20V cordless grease gun. I used it yesterday on the tractor, FEL, grapple, 3-point and rear blade. It DEFINITELY makes this job easier, faster and cleaner. I found the grease tip could not be loosened/adjusted - same gorilla tighten it as with the OEM oil filters - simply removed it and installed my Lock-N-Lube nozzle.

I actually WAS NOT covered in grease to my elbows, as is normally the case, when the job was completed. I wiped a small dab of grease off the back of one hand - that was it.

While I still do not consider a "tractor lube-up" as one of my favorite jobs - at least now, I can complete it quicker, more thoroughly and come out the other side - - clean.

BTW - $209 at specialty hardware store in Spokane(gun, battery, charger, shoulder sling and case).

$199 & free shipping with Amazon Prime for it.

I have a cheaper nicad 6k psi one that was rarely ever charged when i wanted to use it and a real pain to reload and prime. So just recently got the dewalt. That with the lock n lube is just so nice. Agree- not favorite job either. But that makes it go from "oh crap, I gotta do this again" to "no big deal, will take 5 min".

CMV - exactly - spot on. Now a half way decent, ten min job for me.
