I have a 25 yr old grease gun, markings long gone. This puppy works like a champ. There have been more than a few times over the years i have attacked a truly frozen zerk and pumped it tight enough to "lock" it on, having to get a wrench to losen the hose from the body to relieve pressure in order to get it loose. Needless to say, there havn't been many zerks it wouldn't push grease in.
Tired of hauling the gun to the farm and back, decided to leave old trusty there and buy a new one.
Happened to be in Big Orange the next day and purchased one. Now I know better than to buy a grease gun at a wood store, but this one looked like a good piece and it was in my path, so off we went.
This thing is virtually worthless. Cannot tighten the terminal fitting enough to stay on a zerk if a little pressue applied, must hold it on manually. Also has some type of interal "pressure relieve", if met with significant resistance, you can pump till the cows come home and not grease a doggone thing.
I AM going to throw this POS in the trash and get another gun. Looking for advise on what to get.
thanks
