Grease zerk sizes on YM1500D

Does anyone know what size grease fittings to use on my YM1500D steering linkage? While I was greasing my tractor I noticed that I am missing one on the right side steering linkage. I assume that they are metric? The TSC has assortmant packs in 6, 8, and 10 MM sizes but I would rather just buy the correct size and not have a bunch of extras sitting around.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure what size they are but I would just pull one out from the other side and take it with me to match it up.

I had to replace the grease zerk on my 1510D, and the thread was different from the metric sizes in the auto parts stores. I ended up ordering one from a Yanmar dealer.

I have been told that they were British thread . I couldn't find them anywhere local .

I had a fitting missing from the clutch pedal assembly on my 1700, and bought some metric fittings. They didn't work, but my brother had some "standard" fittings and that went in just fine. Still can't figure out why....

Another thing I did was have the grease pressure push out (and its lost) the cap over the front center pivot post (axle assembly) under the tractor. Now I have to keep that well greased at all times.

Don't know if I can ever find a replacement for that except maybe on a junk tractor.

They are a finer thread than standard meteric zerk fittings might try at a hydraulic supply bussines.

Well I picked up the assorted pack of metric zerks at TSC yesterday afternoon. The pack has 6, 8 and 10 mm sizes. It looks like the 8 mm size is the closest but I can't get it to turn in and I don't want to strip the threads. It wants to start but then just stops and I am afraid to force it. I was really hoping to be able to get one local but I guess I'm going to have to order one from a dealer. I do have a parts manual and it shows this grease fittings as part number 194730-57411.
